Meet Doctor Amy

I was born and raised in West Palm Beach, Florida. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Psychobiology from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton. I obtained my Medical Degree from the University of South Florida College of Medicine in Tampa. I completed my General Surgery residency at The Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. While in general surgery residency, I obtained grant funding and completed two years of Basic and Translational Science research in pancreatic cancer and cholangiocarcinoma. It was during this time that I also obtained a Master’s degree in Medical Science from The Ohio State University. After residency, I completed specialized training in Advanced Upper Gastrointestinal and Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Surgery Fellowship at Florida Hospital in Orlando.

I am an American Board Certified Surgeon who performs general surgery for problems such as gallstones, appendicitis, bowel obstructions, and hernias. As a Surgical Oncologist, I specialize in the treatment of cancerous diseases of the breast, stomach, liver, gallbladder, bile ducts, pancreas, and colon. I also provide care for patients with skin cancers, such as melanomas.

In my free time, I love spending time with my husband and son, playing with our two dogs, and enjoying the beautiful south Florida outdoors. I also love playing and watching a variety of sports. Prior to covid, I enjoyed traveling and have been fortunate to have visited all 50 U.S. states and many other countries. I am looking forward to a more normal time soon when my husband and I can take our son exploring.
